Nominations are now open for the 5th Edition of Women in Mining UK’s 100 Global Inspirational Women in Mining (WIM100)

London – 8 March 2022: Women in Mining UK (“WIM UK”) is delighted to announce that the nominations for the fifth edition of its 100 Global Inspirational Women in Mining (“WIM100”) open today at 10.00 am GMT. We thank our confirmed sponsors, BMO Capital Markets, Heidrick & Struggles and BCG, for their continued support of the WIM100.

Everyone is welcome to nominate the inspirational women in mining they know by going here. Nominations close on 10 June 2022.

Over the past nine years this initiative has grown in size, stature and prestige but the sentiment has always stayed the same – the WIM100 is a living history that galvanises the incredible impact women have made on the mining industry around the globe.

About Women in Mining UK
Women in Mining UK (“WIM UK”) is a volunteer-run, non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting the employment, retention and advancement of women in the mining sector. We offer a suite of programmes and initiatives to progress women’s professional goals and career aspirations, from university all the way to Board level. About the 100 Global Inspirational Women in Mining
First launched by Women in Mining UK in 2013, the biennial 100 Global Inspirational Women in Mining (“WIM100”) is now in its fifth edition. The publication highlights the incredible diversity of talent in mining and celebrates inspirational women and their stories across all roles and seniority.

In our 2020 edition, WIM UK received a record 626 nominations from 60 countries around the world. The 100 women featured were selected due to their inspiring contribution towards a stronger, safer and more sustainable mining industry. This includes making positive and impactful changes, advocacy and a desire to empower others, perseverance in the face of adversity, and an ability to find solutions to challenges.
