Women in Mining UK Announces New Executive Appointment

Women in Mining UK (WIM UK)  is pleased to announce the appointment of Liv Carroll as a Non-Executive Director to its Board.

Liv is a two-time WIM100 recipient and brings over two decades of experience in the mining and natural resources sector. She is currently a Managing Director at Accenture, based in the UK, where she serves as the EMEA Mining Lead and Global Natural Resources Lead for Data & AI. A geologist by training, Liv has worked across exploration, mining, metals, and quarrying, and is known for her ability to integrate geoscience, sustainability, and digital technologies across the entire mining value chain.

Liv is passionate about fostering inclusive environments that encourage collaboration, innovation, and growth. Her commitment to understanding human behaviour and decision-making led her to study Behavioural Science, further enriching her leadership approach.

In addition to her role at Accenture, Liv serves as a Director on the Board and Chair of the Governance Committee of the Global Mining Guidelines Group (GMG). She also supports the next generation of geoscientists as a scrutineer for Chartership at the Geological Society.

Commenting on the appointment, WIM UK Chair, Gina Jardine said:
