Women in Mining Announces New Executive Appointment

London – 25 June 2020: Women in Mining UK (WIM) is pleased to announce the appointment of Aymone Schendel as Head of Events following the resignation of Elizabeth Johnson.

Alex Buck, WIM Managing Director, said, “I am delighted to welcome Aymone to the WIM Executive Committee. She has been a volunteer with WIM since 2018 and has been integral to the success of our events and building our conference partnerships programme.

 “On behalf of the Executive Committee and Board, I would like to thank Elizabeth for her years of service to WIM, first as Head of Communications and more recently as Head of Events. The past few years has seen a steady increase in the quality of our events and this is due to Elizabeth’s commitment to the organisation. We all wish her the best with her future endeavours.”

Biography
Aymone has over 20 years of experience working in both corporate and institutional settings around the world, including Hong Kong, Washington DC, and London. She currently divides her time between two well-respected mining organisations: she is Head of Relationship Management at the Natural Resources Forum, where she is in charge of managing the Forum’s sponsors, as well as managing the Oxford Mining Club’s events and membership.
