As a leading, global supplier of electrical solutions to the mining industry, Innomotics is committed to advancing the diversity agenda through the promotion, advancement and retention of women in engineering and innovative technologies.
With the sponsorship by Innomotics, the WIM UK approach to identify female role models for future generations can be once more held up to tell the inspiring and valuable stories for a more successful and sustainable mining industry.
Stacy Hope, WIM UK Managing Director said: “I am delighted to be welcoming Innomotics our newest sponsor of the WIM 100 initiative. The WIM100 helps us to celebrate and share female success stories in the mining industry. It is also an important tool to encourage greater female participation in mining. This is aligned with Innomotics focus on promoting STEM subjects for young women and encouraging them to see engineering as a fulfilling career option. Partnerships and collaborative efforts like WIM play a crucial role for us here. With our sponsorship of the WIM100 initiative, we announced today.”
“We are convinced that only through diverse perspectives can we deliver the best solutions to our diverse markets. This integration of perspectives is only achievable through collaborative work. The global mining sector has articulated significant commitments to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and organizations like WIM (Women in Mining) play a crucial role in this endeavour, says Oliver Beck, Senior Vice President Solutions, Innomotics.
The WIM100 is an initiative that seeks to highlight the incredible diversity of talent in mining and provides an opportunity to recognise and promote the contributions of inspirational women in the industry.
Nominations for the 2024 Edition of WIM100 have now closed. This year we received 570 individual nominations, and the WIM UK team worked over six months to select the 100 finalists. We will be announcing successful candidates later in the year.
