Women in Mining, partnered with Deswik, are delighted to host an evening with Sarah Gordon (PhD).

Sarah will give an introduction to mining (for non-technical professionals), providing an overview of the full mining value chain and key technical challenges faced.

The session will explore everything from finding the ore, mining, processing, shipping and closure. A number of different commodities will be covered including iron ore, copper, lithium, aluminium, REE, platinum and diamonds.

Participants will also discuss challenges faced by those companies wishing to be truly responsible when extracting and processing non-renewable resources.
