The Beauty of Interconnected Natural Resource Ecosystems
Join Women in Mining UK and MinSouth for a joint hybrid presentation by Dr Sarah Gordon, Board Member at Women in Mining UK and Co-Founder and CEO of Satarla, Responsible Raw Materials Conference and Critical Productions as she shares the latest insights as to how the diversity of different natural resource ecosystems are increasingly expected to be viewed as a single interconnected system.
During this lecture we will explore the opportunities afforded to us when we view an ecosystem in its entirety. This will include not only physical natural resources such as minerals through to vegetation, but also the role of people within these ecosystems. We will acknowledge where differences in terminology and understanding between different disciplines can lead to misunderstanding, providing some hints and tips on how to improve our collaboration. The opportunity to use the energy transition as the catalyst and justification to re-think how we visualise and value the land around us, inclusive of rocks, soils, flora, fauna and people is not only fascinating, but fundamental.
Please note that this event may be recorded and /or photographed and shared after the session.
