The one-year MSc is unique in teaching quantitative financial analysis, strategic management and the required technical skill in the context of metals and energy projects. The cohort of just 25 students benefits from a close-knit network at one of the world’s most preeminent educational institutions.

Alex Buck, Managing Director, said, “Part of our mission at Women in Mining UK is to promote the mining industry as a career for women and this begins at the education level.  Our scholarship initiative reduces the financial barriers that might prevent talented young women from pursuing a career in the industry as well as contributing to improving its overall diversity. It is now universally recognised that diversity creates more productive, creative and resilient teams that have safer practices, all qualities the mining industry requires as it tackles a future decarbonised world.
