WIM UK Policy and Research Committee Launch Event – ‘Shifting Dialogue’
This event marks the launch of the Women in Mining UK (WIM UK) Policy & Research Committee, bringing together key stakeholders from the mining industry, government, and civil society to address the critical role of women in the UK’s mining and minerals sector, a topic of growing importance, particularly due to current global debates around DEI.
Please join us as we highlight the importance of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in the mining industry, focus on how women’s participation can address the skills gaps, issues of retention and enhance UK supply chain security, as well as enable a significant contribution to decarbonization efforts at home and abroad.
Highlighting Dialogue as a key theme and enabler to inclusion, the Policy and Research Committee will seek to explore avenues for UK policy intervention to advance women in mining, emphasizing the country’s potential as a global leader in this area, especially in Finance.
This launch event will feature a range of speakers, including politicians, industry experts, academics, and advocates, to provide comprehensive insights and foster meaningful dialogue on the importance of women’s participation in the mining sector.
