WIM UK Online Event: UK’s Mining Renaissance

In our next event, The UK’s Mining Renaissance, Women in Mining UK puts the spotlight back on the UK. Join us and a number of key players from the UK mining industry to discuss the resurgence of mining activity in our home country. They will discuss current exploration and development projects and how the UK compares to our European peers, in terms of both hard and perceived risk.
- Lucy Crane – Senior Geologist at Cornish Lithium will be discussing Li4UK, a project consortium made up of Cornish Lithium, Wardell Armstrong International and the Natural History Museum, and funded by Innovate UK’s Faraday Battery Challenge. The project is assessing the feasibility of a domestic Lithium supply chain to support the UK’s battery technology and EV industries. She will also give an update on Cornish Lithium, which is making strong progress exploring for lithium and other battery metals in Cornwall, and has recently completed two drill programmes for lithium enriched geothermal waters and lithium in hard rock.
- Max Denning – Tungsten West’s CEO will be giving an update on one of the UK’s flagship Mining projects, Hemerdon, and how both the project and the company fit into the larger UK Mining industry.
- Chris Cann – Head of Aspermont Research and Intelligence will be discussing the UK’s position in the Mining Journal World Risk Report (feat. MineHutte ratings) 2019, and how it compares and contrasts to its European peers in terms of both hard and perceived risk.
