WIM UK Event: Diversity In Mining – An Indigenous Female’s Perspective

November 23 at 13:00 - 14:00

Please join us on Tuesday 23 November at 1:00 PM GMT for this joint webinar with MinSouth.

Mining is an essential industry however its success is reliant on a diverse and inclusive workforce. To  achieve this, women, Indigenous peoples and other minorities must be allowed to be themselves and should not be asked to “fit in”.

Our special speaker, Kari Lentowicz (Independent Consultant at KLEMQ Consulting and Managing Director at Diamonds in the Rough Emergency Rescue Organization Inc.), will share her perspective on the industry. This presentation will include commentary on how the mining industry must accept and embrace differing cultural nuances, identities, and values; why women and Indigenous people in Canada are often stuck in entry-level positions; and what we need to do to cultivate a culture of awareness, diversity, inclusion, and equity in all realms.

Please register here.
