Rescheduled: WIM UK Event: Critical Mineral Series – Part 2: Financing Critical Minerals Projects Amid Strong Global Demand

December 5, 2023

Please note this in-person and online event “Financing Critical Minerals Projects Amid Strong Global Demand” is being rescheduled and a new date in the New Year will be announced in due course. Please stay tuned for updates.

As global economies become ever more reliant upon critical minerals to support the energy transition, demand is expected to outweigh supply in the near future. Consequently, investing in the critical mineral supply chain has increasingly become a strategic issue for governments, mining companies, OEMs and traders alike. Not only has the desire to secure mineral supply changed the financing options available to mining companies, but also the incentives available for doing business with certain jurisdictions and meeting certain E&S and “green” standards. However, when the costs, regulatory hurdles and geopolitical issues associated with developing greenfield critical minerals projects are factored in, mining companies are expected to continue to pull together a financing package from multiple sources in order to fund the capex spend of developing their projects.”

Join us for this incredibly interesting panel discussion, touching on many of the themes we are increasingly seeing throughout the sector, hosted by Norton Rose Fulbright. Our colleague Lilly Wilson will also be participating in the panel! For those unable to attend in person, please join us online.
