Critical Minerals Series Part 1: How The UK Can Become a Key Player In Energy Transition Supply
September 12, 2023 at 18:00 - 20:00
Please join WIM UK on Tuesday 12 September for our hybrid event “Critical Minerals Series Part 1: How The UK Can Become A Key Player In Energy Transition Supply Chains “. This event is kindly supported by Societe Generale.
Critical minerals remain more than ever a hot topic in the context of the energy transition, further enhanced by the recent requirements for localisation of the value chains through reshoring and friend-shoring. This has led to countries and regions vying for a leadership role in the energy transition value chain through different approaches.
The UK boasts one of the world’s leading financial marketplaces, numerous mining companies incorporated in or listed on the LSE, unrivalled metals trading markets and a first-class consulting and engineering services sector. This therefore positions the UK to play a key role in this new industrial revolution, allowing its domestic industry to seize opportunities and generate openings to partner with other countries.
