Women in Mining (UK) Announces New Chairperson

London, 13 October 2017 – Women in Mining (UK) (WIM (UK)) announces today that Debbie Thomas has stepped down as Non-Executive Chair. Carole Cable, currently a Non-Executive Director (“NED”) on the Board, has been elected to this position effective immediately.

Carole Cable, incoming Chair said: “As our roles within WIM (UK) are voluntary, it is understandable when a member of the Board feels it necessary to stand down due to work commitments as is the case with Debbie. We are sorry to see her leave and on behalf of the Board I would like to thank Debbie for her support over the past 18 months and wish her all the best in her endeavours.”
