WIM (UK) is pleased to invite you to a “A day in the life of….”
This educational and information sharing event will give attendees the chance to learn about day to day life for a number of careers in the mining sector. From technical to financial and corporate careers, attendees will see how a usual day in the panellists’ career takes shape.
Our panel will share with us their experiences and provide an insight into the day-to-day life in the mining industry. We welcome:

Twenty travel bursaries of £70 are available for students based more than 250 miles from London, for whom travel is particularly expensive, to attend the Education event.We are offering twenty travel bursaries of up to £70 to students based outside of London.
Travel Bursaries to the WIM(UK) Education Event, 23 November 2017:
Applications are welcomed from students at the Universities of Aberdeen, Aberystwyth, Exeter (Camborne School of Mines), Durham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Plymouth, St Andrews and other universities more than 250 miles distant from London. The money can be used towards any suitable travel method, including being put towards group travel. In the event that the scheme is oversubscribed, applicants in their final year of study will be given priority. If there are still more applications than places, applications will be selected at random (‘out of a hat’), with a limit of 4 places to each university in the first round of the draw. Applicants will be informed of their success or otherwise a week after the deadline.
